The whole area had a tremendous period feel to it and the old village was a bit like stepping back in time. The host was very helpful and there was loads of information about the Dartmoor area available. The self catering facilities were good and the location had good local shopping. The recommended pub is the Ring of Bells but all the bars and restaurants provided a wonderful old atmosphere.
