"Las Canteras Beach is a long stretch of sand, occupying some 3800 metres of coastline, stretching along the bay.
Las Canteras is one of the best urban beaches in the country and in the world, as it is a beach with good weather almost all year round. It is the place in the capital to relax, where time stands still and where you can do sport any day of the week, wearing a swimming costume, bikini, goggles and snorkel, paddle (beach rackets) or surfboard.
It is also a great marine life reserve. Its seabed is home to a thousand types of fish. On land, it is a refuge for walkers, fishermen and surfers. And it has a special peculiarity. This peculiarity is what the locals call "La Barra", a long rocky formation that spreads out not far from the sand and protects a large part of the beach from the tides, transforming it into a natural saltwater pool when the tide is out. A curious line of stones makes the bay the best place on this side of the globe for swimming, as the salty sea facilitates buoyancy and, with swimming goggles, gives the impression of being inside a large aquarium.
And if you want to walk, we recommend the long promenade that winds along the sand, passing cafés and ice-cream parlours. At the beginning of the promenade you will find the terraces of La Puntilla and the fresh fish restaurants. At the other end of the beach, the surfing atmosphere around the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, with more terraces and cafes facing the sea.
Las Canteras is the Playa Cambiante. It will never be the same place as the day before. It will be completely different.
And that is another of its peculiarities. It always stays in the same place, but it is always different.

La climatización: Al ser invierno no es el mismo frio que en mi ciudad, pero no hacía temperatura de verano y le faltaba un poco de calefacción. Eché de menos un lugar para trabajar, utilicé la mesa de comedor pero si se quiere comer allí hay que dessee more

This is a very nicely laid out modern and clean apartment, it felt very homely even for a short stay. You have two nice bathrooms and even a utility room. Plenty of storage but also lots of provided equipment, especially in the kitchen which was a pleasure to use. The location couldn't be better, you are right on the beach surrounded by every sort of shop, cafe, restaurant and supermarket. The most significant feature really is the great balcony, the view is probably one of the best on the island. In the morning you are welcomed by the sight of the sunny beach and gorgeous blue sea as you eat breakfast, on a clear day you can see Tenerife on the horizon to the north west. In the evening after a day on the beach you are presented with some of the most beautiful sunsets as the sun slowly vanishes behind the mountains, turning the sky (and the sea) a deep red. It felt very special. All of the staff I encountered over the stay were very friendly, helpful and professional, they booked our airport transfers and everything ran very smoothly so I was very happy with our service.

A nice and well-equipped apartment, very close to Las Canteras Beach. It's at a particularly good spot for swimming, which was a highlight for me. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and food stores nearby. Convenient access to buses and ferry terminals.
