General Terms and Conditions

This document outlines the general terms and conditions that are an integral part of the agreement established between the occupants of the properties, hereinafter YOU, and the company CANARIAS SPORTS HOLIDAYS SL, with registered address at Calle Méndez Núñez 68, 2-D., Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and tax identification number C.I.F B-76577014; hereinafter HOMEFORGUEST.

By making a reservation, regardless of the booking channel (directly via the HOMEFORGUEST website, through third-party websites, travel agencies, or tour operators in collaboration with HOMEFORGUEST), YOU agree to each and every condition stated below.


1.- PRICES AND SERVICES.
The published prices for our accommodations are specified in euros, per day, week, or month. The minimum stay varies by property and is individually specified in each listing.

Additional charges such as cleaning, bed linen, towels, air conditioning, heating, baby cots, high chairs, transport service, private chef, etc., may not be included in the rental price depending on the property and its terms. If not included in the rental price, this will be clearly stated before confirming the booking and will appear on the booking invoice. The rates for extra services are as follows:

  • Most of our properties offer self check-in with no time restrictions, using a smart lock or key lockbox. In some Gran Canaria properties, key collection takes place at our office.

  • If a guest requests in-person check-in due to an exceptional circumstance, a surcharge may apply. This is always subject to prior request and confirmation.

  • Baby cot: €35 per stay.

  • High chair: €20 per stay.

  • A surcharge of €50 (luxury accommodations) / €25 (standard accommodations) applies for late check-out between 10:00 and 14:00.

  • A surcharge of €70 (luxury accommodations) / €40 (standard accommodations) applies for late check-out between 14:00 and 17:00.


2.- CHANGES IN PRICES AND SERVICES.
Prices and services may occasionally change and will be communicated at the time of booking and subsequently confirmed in writing.

If such changes occur after the booking has been made and affect essential aspects of the agreement, YOU may cancel the contract without penalty within five days and receive a full refund. In such cases, no compensation will be granted.


3.- BOOKING AND PAYMENT TERMS.
Bookings may be made via our website www.homeforguest.com, by calling (+34) 922 928553, or directly at any HOMEFORGUEST office.

50% of the accommodation cost must be paid within 48 hours of booking. The remaining 50% must be paid 30 days before arrival.

Any booked extras must be paid with the second payment (30 days before arrival) or upon check-in if HOMEFORGUEST confirms this in writing before key delivery. Payments may be made by bank transfer, credit card (VISA or MASTERCARD), or cash.

If payment deadlines are missed by more than 4 calendar days, HOMEFORGUEST reserves the right to cancel the reservation without prior notice.


4.- CANCELLATIONS.
If YOU cancel the reservation, the following policies apply:

  • From the time of booking until 30 days before arrival: FREE CANCELLATION.

  • Up to 29 days before arrival: 50% refund of the total booking amount.

  • Up to 7 days before arrival: 100% of the total booking amount will be charged.

  • No-show: 100% of the total booking amount will be charged.

  • In cases of force majeure, a voucher will be issued for the amount paid: 50% credit up to 29 days before arrival, and full credit up to 7 days before arrival.


5.- SECURITY DEPOSIT.
The security deposit is charged within 7 days before check-in via a payment link or, alternatively, PayPal. Each property has a defined deposit amount. For bookings longer than 20 days, the deposit will be €800 for apartments and €1,500 for villas.

The property is understood to be delivered in perfect condition, including furniture and equipment, unless YOU notify otherwise in writing at check-in. If any damage occurs, HOMEFORGUEST will assess and deduct the cost of replacement or repair directly from your credit card without prior authorization. The charge will be made within 20 days after check-out, and an invoice will be emailed to the address provided at the time of booking.


6.- GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES AND HOUSE RULES.
The maximum occupancy is limited to the number of guests stated in the booking, including children and infants. HOMEFORGUEST may deny access to the property if occupancy is exceeded or charge a supplement at its discretion.

The guest must follow these mandatory rules:

  • Use common sense during your stay.

  • Respect quiet hours (22:00 - 08:00).

  • Smoking is only allowed outdoors, never inside the property or bedrooms.

  • Turn off the air conditioning when not needed or when away from the property.

  • Parties and events are strictly prohibited.

  • Do not eat on sofas or in bedrooms.

  • Pets are not allowed unless expressly authorized in writing.

  • Report any damage immediately so we can fix it before the next guest arrives.

  • Ensure all doors and windows are securely closed when leaving the property.

  • Do not dispose of trash in the toilet; use the bin.

  • Only the declared guests are allowed to sleep at the property. Unregistered guests must pay a supplement in cash at check-in.

If there is negligence, inappropriate behavior, or violation of these rules, HOMEFORGUEST reserves the right to terminate the rental contract immediately and without notice, which may result in the full loss of the rental amount and security deposit.

If unauthorized pets are brought into the property, HOMEFORGUEST may terminate the contract without prior notice and retain the full rental and deposit amount.


7.- MAINTENANCE AND CLEANLINESS.
The property must be returned in the same clean and orderly condition as it was received. Trash must be removed, and fridges and wardrobes emptied.

Additional cleaning fees will be charged in case of disorder, trash, or excessive dirt:

  • €100 to €200 for properties under 100m² or with 1–2 bedrooms.

  • €150 to €300 for properties between 100–200m² or with 3–4 bedrooms.

  • €300 to €500 for properties over 150m² or with 4–6+ bedrooms.

These fees may be charged to the credit card presented at check-in.

Loss of keys or garage remotes will incur a minimum charge of €25 per key and €50 per remote. These charges will be processed within 20 days of check-out, with an invoice sent to the guest’s email address.


8.- CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT.
Check-in starts from 15:00h. In some properties, check-in may start from 17:00h. Key collection varies by property: smart locks, key lockboxes, or coded mailboxes in central Las Palmas (Gran Canaria).

Check-out must be completed before 10:00h. Instructions on where to leave the keys will be specified in the check-in PDF. Guests should not return keys to the office.

Upon check-in, you must present:

  1. Booking confirmation voucher.

  2. ID or passport for all guests (including children).

  3. Credit card. (Debit cards are not accepted.)


9.- HOMEFORGUEST’S RESPONSIBILITIES.
If the reserved property becomes unavailable due to unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances, HOMEFORGUEST will offer an alternative of similar features and price. If this is not possible due to lack of availability, the full booking amount will be refunded without compensation.


10.- INCIDENTS AND CLAIMS.
Despite our best efforts to ensure everything is perfect, the service may not fully meet your expectations. If so, YOU must report any fault or damage within 2 hours of check-in. HOMEFORGUEST provides support during the following hours: Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 21:00, and Saturday to Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00. Any emergencies outside these hours must be reported via email to info@homeforguest.com.


11.- LIABILITY WAIVER.
HOMEFORGUEST is not responsible for changes or events outside its control that may affect the property or surroundings, such as:

  • Nearby construction works.

  • Satellite/cable TV availability may be limited.

  • Temporary interruptions of water, electricity, or internet supply due to public utility maintenance.

No compensation will be provided for such situations.


12.- DATA PROTECTION.
Personal data provided by the guest in contact or booking forms will be included in a file owned by HOMEFORGUEST for administrative and commercial purposes. In accordance with applicable laws, you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition by writing to the address specified on the booking voucher, including a copy of your ID. Your data will not be shared without your consent, unless required by law or necessary for service provision.


13.- BREACH OF GENERAL CONDITIONS.
HOMEFORGUEST reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement immediately and without notice in the event of any breach of these terms, resulting in eviction, and the total loss of both the rental fee and the deposit.


14.- GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION.
Any matters not covered in these conditions will be governed by Spanish law and relevant regional legislation. Both parties expressly waive any other jurisdiction and agree to submit to the courts of Santa Cruz de Tenerife for any disputes arising from the interpretation or application of this agreement.
